Dancing with Darkness

While my King was waiting patiently
I kept busy in my tango with
That dark prince then seducing me
I had no will, I had no witt

As if stuck in a fearsome trance
I simply could not escape
But this evil one's intriguing dance
Was turning into brutal rape

I was snared so easily in my sin
Thought destined to this dark
It was just then my King stepped in
And brought back warmth into my heart

Then said my King in a tone of love
"Let me sweep you far and farther away
From this night of dim confusion
To the glorious light of day"

I said, "My Lord I cannot go
For I am but a slave
Bound to work far from the world you own
And chained inside this musty cave"

But all of a sudden my chains were loosed
My King said,"No you're not!"
As if I was freed from the noose
My King untied it's deadly knot

Out from the shadows came the man I feared
"She chose me first, you cannot have her!"
I broke down into bitter tears
But my King said," I have all power!"

He left the dark one in the dust
He brought me home to safety
Far from that evil one's dark and rust
I married my King, now I'm royalty
